In this video, Nguyen will guide you through 3 simple breathing exercises that are easy to do to help increase lung mobility, make your lungs stronger, as well as your diaphragm to work better. In addition, these breathing exercises will also help purify the respiratory system, helping you to prevent common diseases such as asthma or pneumonia.
1) Abdominal Breathing – Diaphragmatic breathing
The first exercise is abdominal breathing, also known as diaphragmatic breathing.
This breathing exercise will help your diaphragm work better, helping you bring more oxygen into the spectrum, breathing deeper. For those of you who learn to sing, or subjects that need a lot of gas in the body, diaphragmatic breathing exercises are an indispensable part.
In addition, practicing diaphragmatic breathing will also help you avoid chest tightness, sharp pain in the heart when breathing because it will help your lungs not to compress and increase pressure on the heart area.
2) Kumbhaka (Full Breath Retention) Exercise
Breath Hold Exercise Also known as Kumbhaka in Sanskrit or Full Breath Retention in English is an exercise that helps you hold your breath and hold your breath longer. Holding your breath or holding your breath helps:
- Diaphragm training
- Increase lung mobility
- Helps purify the lungs, as well as bring more oxygen into your body and organs, helping you breathe better and your body feel healthier.
3) Breath of Fire – Kapalbhati/Kapalabhati (Breath of Fire)
The last breath is the breath of fire, or Kapalbhati/Kapalabhati in Sanskrit and the Breath of Fire in English.
This breath will help purify the airways, increase the functioning of the lungs and diaphragm, help you breathe better and the body better exchange gases.
